To
The Hon’ble Visa Officer
Canadian High Commission
Ref: Reapplication for student visa to pursue Motive Power Technician Course at St Clair College, Windsor
Dear Sir/Madam,
I applied for a student visa in order to pursue a course on Motive Power Technician at St Clair College but it was rejected. I may not have made matters sufficiently clear and these could have been grounds for rejection. I would like to elaborate so as to present the whole picture and enable you to reconsider your decision to grant me the student visa.
Reason 1 for rejection:
“I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as required by paragraph R216(1)(b) of the IRPR (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/sor-2002-227/ section-216.html). I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will leave Canada, “
My Clarification:
To this I would like to
categorically state and declare that I have no intention whatsoever of staying
back in
I then joined Porsche AG in Kuwait as a service technician. I saw that today’s vehicles are sophisticated and call for expertise on the part of the technician. I therefore chose to pursue this course that will make me a qualified and skilled motive power technician.
My goal is to set up my own service
station in India to service high end bikes & cars. This will be possible
since my father and mother are working and we have sufficient funds to help me
start my own venture. I find this more appealing compared to working as a
technician in a service station. This way I will be close to my parents, live
with my family and friends and also I will be able to hold my head high with
pride since I will be the owner of a garage in
I cannot dream of setting up my
garage in any foreign country since the costs will be far too high and beyond
my reach whereas it is possible in
Reason 2 for rejection:
“The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.”
My Clarification:
The purpose of my visit to
This is consistent with my past
experience and work. I worked as a motorcycle technician trainee with Harley
Davidson in
I have worked and I have learnt as I went along. However, even then, I feel that it is necessary to undergo a systematic and methodical course in order to gain skills and capabilities to handle and maintain any modern vehicle.
I have also seen that if I continue
without any formal certifications I will continue to remain an employee for a
long time. If I pursue this course I will have added qualifications and skills
that will help me to work in a senior position, or better still, start my own
service station in
Reason 3 for rejection:
“Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of: your qualifications, previous studies, mark sheets, academic record, level of establishment, language abilities, and/or your future prospects and plans.”
My Clarification:
The proposed studies are a
continuation of what I have learnt so far. I have undergone motor vehicle
mechanic training with Harley Davidson and with Porsche in
As for my academic record I do admit that I dropped out of civil engineering studies as I realized later on that civil engineering was not something that I wanted to pursue. My forte was automobile. Thereofore, I did undergo training with the top automotive companies like Harley Davidson and Porsche in order to make a career as an automotive technician. The motive power technician course will give me methodic training and I will be better empowered and capable to service and maintain high end cars.
As for my language capabilities, I
have passed IELTS. I have studied in the English medium since my school days
and for me this is my primary language of learning and communication. I have
lived in
As for my future prospects and
plans, as stated above, I aim to start a motor repairs and maintenance garage
in

Reasons for coming back to
I will return to
