The Hon’ble Visa Officer
Canadian High Commission
Ref: Reapplication for student visa to pursue Composites and Advanced Materials Aerospace Manufacturing course at Fanshawe College
Dear Sir/Madam
I had applied for a student visa. It was rejected apparently because I have not made my position clear. I would like to apply again and furnish detailed explanations for your consideration.
My application was rejected earlier. While I sincerely respect the decision of the visa officer and the authority vested in by the Canadian Government, I beg to differ with the inferences the honorable visa officer has drawn, which have led to the unfortunate outcome of rejection of my study visa to a bona fide student such as me. This is not to cast any aspersions on your evaluation methods or personal competence at all. On the contrary, I humbly acknowledge my inability, earlier, to convince you of the sincerity and seriousness of my professional vision and mission, which is inextricably linked with my future plans.
I have applied for and have obtained admission to the specified course. I have paid the first semester tuition fee of CAD……..and have deposited GIC of CAD……..The college has strict eligibility norms and grants admission only to students who have studied relevant topics for their undergraduate courses.
Relevancy of the course to my past studies
I have studied aeronautical
engineering from the…..University in 2015 and it was on this basis that
Fanshawe granted admission. It is clear that the proposed course is relevant to
my past studies and it will enhance my skills and make me a specialist in
composites and advanced materials used in the aerospace industry.
My Past experience:
My past education is related to the course that I am going to pursue. After my bachelor degree, I worked in an organization named…….for 2 years where I had learnt manufacturing should costing and estimation for aerospace components. My responsibilities included: Estimating the manufacturing costs for components supplied to companies like CIRCOR Aerospace, TE Connectivity and GE Aerospace. In the year 2018, I joined Renault Nissan Mitsubishi Technological Business Centre India Pvt., Ltd., where I started my career as a production engineer. It offered me the basic knowledge to pursue further specialized studies.
As for the course being relevant to
my future prospects, I would like to say that I have worked as an engineer and
I wish to make full use of my studies in aeronautical engineering. This course
will give me the expertise to work in a specialized field.
Financial Strength
My father runs his business as an
electrical contractor and earns more than enough to pay for this course and for
the cost of my stay in
Family Ties in India
I am the only son and it is our
tradition that the son is bound to take care of his parents in their old age. I
consider that I owe a deep debt to my father and mother and that it is my duty
to be by their side when they need me most. As such I cannot think of leaving
them and make my own life in some foreign country. I have a conscience and am
answerable to the voice of conscience and that of duty. Eventually I will start a family and my wife
will be Indian. By living here both of us will share our families and enjoy the
strong support system which would not be available to us in a foreign land.
When we have children our parents will have the joy of being grandparents and
our children will be well taken care of when we are at work.
My Career Plan
India is now indigenizing its
aeronautics industry, particularly for defence and there are extremely good
prospects for qualified people like me to contribute to the nation building
efforts. From this perspective too, the proposed course is in line with my
career objective and it will be an enhancement to my past work.
This explanation above also
addresses the issue of my returning to
Once I complete the course and
return to
Why Canada
While my peers preferred universities in the US, UK and Australia, I opted for Canada without so much as batting an eyelid. Canada’s outstanding educational institutions, remarkable research ethos, vibrant campus life, and picturesque beauty, other than its values and culture, multilingual society, safety standards, and hassle-free immigration process, make it my first choice. Canada has naturally evolved as a popular destination for aspiring Indian students like me, as it has been ranked 6th on the Global Peace Index, and is undoubtedly one of the safest countries to study in. Besides, Canadian educational institutions provide the best possible training and offer internationally accredited degrees and credentials. Based on the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development’s rankings, Canada ranks 7th in the world owing to its high academic standards.
Why Fanshawe College
I have chosen
A Canadian certification will give me a head start in the Indian job market. Yes, I would very much like to return to India and play my part in the aerospace sector that desperately needs well-qualified and competent individuals in key administrative roles. That India is rated as among the fastest-growing economies in the world, the global pandemic-induced slowdown notwithstanding makes it just the place to be in even from a career perspective.
Further, Indian employers,
particularly those with foreign collaboration, prefer candidates with foreign
qualifications. This is yet another solid reason for my pursuing the course in
I trust I have given ample and detailed explanations to the objections raised by the learned visa officer and now that the matter is clear I hope you will be kind enough to grant the visa to me.
Sincerely Yours
