Statement of Purpose for Visa Reapplication

 To

The Hon’ble Visa Officer

Canadian High Commission

Ref: Re-application for student visa to pursue Software and information testing course at Fanshawe College.

Respected Sir/Madam,

I applied for a student visa but this was rejected on the ground that “The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.”

I admit that I failed to explain in detail about my plans and that has led to a misunderstanding resulting in denial. Please permit me to submit clarifications so that you may consider my case based on merits and facts.

My Past Work

My past education is related to the course that I am going to pursue. I completed my B.Sc.-IT (Information Technology) studies in 2020 and served as a junior software tester and intern at Synovers from october 2020 to December 2020 where I executed test cases under different situations and evaluated results.

I then worked for TecqGenir from January 2021 to May 2021 where I was tasked with data acquisition and coordination with testing teams to complete tasks.

I then joined Cognizant in March 2022 after the covid Pandemic was over. I work as a Systems engineer and am responsible for access management, standards change, floor management, client communication, service improvement and other.

Why I wish to study this course

I have seen that software testing is a specialized area and professionals are sorely lacking in this field. I broached the idea to my senior and he advised me to undertake a course from a foreign university and Cognizant would probably make a better offer once I have this specialized degree.  I decided to acquire formal education and applied for and obtained admission to the Fanshawe College for the Software and Information testing course. This is consistent with and relevant to my chosen field of studies as well as work in the IT segment. It is a progression and specialization in a specific area that will lead to better jobs in India where software testers are in demand.

Why this college and why Canada

I chose Fanshawe College firstly because it offered this course which is aligned with my past studies and my future career objectives. It is not easy to find a similar course with the same course structure, method of teaching and duration as well as costs at other universities. Fanshawe also enjoys a a good reputation in India for affordable fee, academic excellence and it welcomes students from all over the world. The atmosphere is conducive and we will learn from masters. Its degree has value, especially with international IT companies.

I have chosen to study in Canada due to the easier admission process and the system of education that prevails here such as courses being offered at a basic level and then progressively advancing to higher levels. Canada is much more peaceful and welcoming. My friends here who have studied in Canada recommend it.

Financials

I have deposited GIC amount of CAD………..I have paid the full fee of CAD……... My father, who runs a business will bear the cost. My brother who also runs a financial business has agreed to contribute if needed.

The Annual income of my father is INR……..(approx.)

Moreover, we also have immovable properties in India worth INR.…….(approx.)

I have no financial worries.

My family details

My father is a financial business consultant and my brother also runs his own financial business. My mother stays at home and takes care of us. We have strong ties and I am much in their debt for all that they have done for me.

Reasons for coming back to India

  • India is the fastest going IT market. There is plenty of opportunity here for those who specialize in software testing. Multinational IT companies based in India need software testers with global education and exposure and I am confident of getting a lucrative job in India.

  • My family has taken care of me. It is my duty and obligation that when I complete studies I return to India, take up work and be ready to support my father and mother when they need me in their old age.  No amount of monetary consideration would tempt me to stay abroad.

  • Eventually I plan to start a family in India and I am sure that my father and mother will like to be with their grandchildren and my grandchildren will also receive proper family care while I and my wife are at work. I feel safe and secure with my family and community and know that if I am in need of any help, they are there for me as I am there for them.

Future opportunities in India after the course:

All the IT giants like Microsoft, Google, Oracles have heavily invested in the IT market. The IT industry of India and the related business services is projected to reach…….USD by the year 2025. As per Gartner report, the IT spending in India is forecasted at……billion USD. It is about to reach……….USD with 24.31% growth rate. It will open up lucrative job opportunities for software testers, who are internationally educated.

Why I am not studying a similar course in India

There is a simple explanation as to why I and countless other students like me are choosing to spend huge amounts, undergo hardship and make great effort to study abroad. The Indian job market in the IT sector is dominated by multinationals that prefer candidates who have international degrees and international exposure. They fit in better and work better. There are better chances for advancement. It is in this light that my choice of study abroad should be seen, not as a way to stay back in Canada.

I can easily start work with good pay as a junior software tester and then go on to become head of the software testing department in large multinationals like Amazon and Google who have offices in India where software work is being done. There are also other software companies serving international clientele from Bangalore and Hyderabad which are the IT hubs of India.

I have now clarified that the software testing course is a progression to my graduate studies in IT and that it will help me to land a better job in multinational companies in India. I hope you will consider this and be pleased to grant me the visa.

Sincerely Yours

Sample of visa SOP for Fanshawe College Canada

To The Hon’ble Visa Officer Canadian High Commission Ref: Reapplication for student visa to pursue Composites and Advanced Materials Aerospace Manufacturing course at Fanshawe College Dear Sir/Madam I had applied for a student visa. It was rejected apparently because I have not made my position clear. I would like to apply again and furnish detailed explanations for your consideration. My application was rejected earlier. While I sincerely respect the decision of the visa officer and the authority vested in by the Canadian Government, I beg to differ with the inferences the honorable visa officer has drawn, which have led to the unfortunate outcome of rejection of my study visa to a bona fide student such as me. This is not to cast any aspersions on your evaluation methods or personal competence at all. On the contrary, I humbly acknowledge my inability, earlier, to convince you of the sincerity and seriousness of my professional vision and mission, which is inextric...

Statement of Purpose (SOP) MSc in Management in UK

Management streamlines the technical skills to offer efficient solutions. As an engineer I know about the nuts and bolts of things. However, my practical on-the-job experience showed me that there is more to it then mere technical skills. Management is both a science and art of which engineers should be aware and familiar with. Therefore, I wish to take on this course in MSc Management as a way to improve and add another layer of skills that will work jointly alongside my engineering skills. What I wish to study and why this program I graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering in 2016. I have learnt on the job and though self-study about enhancing engineering skills. I have also learnt about the management side such as vendor management, inventory management and, to a certain level, interfacing with customers. I wish to undertake formal education in management and learn systematically about sales, marketing, inventory, human resources and vendor management. I aim to become s...
